Nelly J is an artist and audio engineer from Edmonton, Alberta with a passion for Hip-Hop, R&B, Latin music, and Rap.
Since beginning her music journey in 2019, she has built a reputation for smooth vocals, versatility, and a genuine commitment to helping artists create music that feels true to who they are.
After training under Atreus XO Head Engineer Graham Smith, Nelly combined her experience as a vocalist and musician with professional studio engineering skills to help artists bring their ideas to life.
Whether you're stepping into the studio for the first time or refining your sound for release, Nelly focuses on understanding your vision and creating an environment where artists can perform with confidence.

Artists at all stages are encouraged to apply. You do not need a professional recording, large following, or polished music video to be considered.
Contest Timeline
Applications open on the Summer Solstice and will remain open for two weeks. Make sure your entry is submitted before the deadline.

Questions Before You Apply?
Here are the most common details artists should know before submitting.
Do I need a professional recording to apply?
No. You can submit a phone-recorded performance, freestyle, song snippet, live performance, acoustic performance, cover, or original song.
Can I submit unreleased music?
Yes. Unreleased music is welcome as long as you have permission to share it publicly.
Can I submit a freestyle or cover?
Yes. Freestyles, covers, song snippets, and performances are accepted. We are looking for talent, potential, creativity, and growth.
Do I have to be 18+?
No. Artists 16 and older can apply. Artists under 18 must have parent or guardian consent.
What genres are accepted?
Hip-Hop, R&B, Rap, melodic rap, Latin-influenced music, and related styles are encouraged. Artists of all backgrounds are welcome to apply.
How many times can I enter?
One entry per artist.
What does the selected artist receive?
The selected artist receives the Bloom Package, including an exclusive beat by Artafacts Music, a 3-hour recording session with Nelly J, professional mixing, mastering, and artist spotlight content.
What do the Top 5 Featured Artists receive?
The Top 5 Featured Artists receive a 1-hour complimentary studio session, an artist spotlight, and an exclusive booking incentive.
When do applications close?
Applications close July 5 at 11:59 PM.
